Abstract

Objetivo: Evaluar in vitro el efecto de la clorhexidina al 2% sobre la resistencia adhesiva dentinaria a la microtracción en dientes primarios utilizando dos sistemas adhesivos: Adper Single Bond 2® y Single Bond Universal® - técnica autoacondicionante. Materiales y Métodos: Se asignaron aleatoriamente bloques dentales de superficies planas de dentina de 20 molares primarios a 4 grupos experimentales de acuerdo con el sistema adhesivo y tratamiento con clorhexidina (sin tratamiento o 30 segundos de aplicación de solución de Clorhexidina al 2%). Los sistemas adhesivos se aplicaron de acuerdo a las instrucciones del fabricante, seguido de la aplicación de la resina compuesta Filtek Z350 (3M ESPE). Después de 24 horas de almacenamiento en agua destilada a 37º C, se prepararon especímenes con una zona de sección transversal de 1 mm2 (± 0.1 mm2) para realizar la prueba de microtracción. Para evaluar el modo de fractura se utilizó un estereomicroscopio a 40X. Resultados: El tratamiento con Clorhexidina al 2% no presentó diferencia estadísticamente significativa en la resistencia adhesiva dentinaria a la microtracción para el grupo de Adper Single Bond 2® y Single Bond Universal® (p>0,05). Sin embargo, se encontró que el sistema adhesivo si presenta diferencia estadísticamente significativa, observándose que el Adper Single Bond 2® obtuvo valores superiores. Se observó predominio de falla mixta para todos los grupos. Conclusión: El tratamiento con Clorhexidina no influyó en la resistencia adhesiva dentinaria a la microtraccion en dientes primarios.
