Autoeficacia del uso del condón en varones de nivel secundario

Abstract

Objetivo: determinar la autoeficacia del uso del condón masculino en varones escolares. Material y método: estudio observacional descriptivo de corte transversal, realizado en el mes de diciembre del año 2015, la muestra de estudio estuvo conformada por 136 adolescentes varones de 4to y 5to año del nivel secundaria cuyas edades fluctuaron entre los 14 – 17 años de edad y que firmaron el asentimiento informado. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el cuestionario autoaplicado del departamento de infecciones de transmisión sexual del Policlínico Joaquín Albarrán-La Habana Cuba. Para mayor validez del instrumento se sometió a juicio de expertos, de la cual se obtuvo una R de Pearson de R > 0.20; así mismo, se realizó una prueba piloto en 15 estudiantes, que no fueron incluidos en el estudio, se obtuvo un Alfa de Crombach de α= 0.87. Los datos recolectados fueron codificados e ingresados a una base de datos creada en Excel 2010. Los resultados se analizaron por frecuencias y porcentajes y se presentaron en tablas estadísticas simples. Resultados: el 31% de los adolescentes tienen un nivel alto de autoeficacia del uso del condón, 66% un nivel de autoeficacia medio del uso del condón y 3% un nivel de autoeficacia bajo del uso del condón. Conclusiones: los adolescentes tienen un nivel de autoeficacia medio del uso el condón.
