Abstract

In the Bilingual Intercultural Education, we identified facilitators with professional training dedicated to teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) who show particularities in their teaching strategies when the work with students with specific needs, in a language school in Lima. Due to family or job opportunities these students have in Peru, their interest in taking Spanish classes covers situations that help them to interact in the Peruvian context. Also, the facilitators promote intercultural dialogue between Peruvian cultures and students´ cultures, including knowledge, resources and cultural practices in the application of their strategies. In this qualitative case study, we have interviewed four Peruvian facilitators and four of their students of different nationalities, who, through their experiences, provided relevant information for our research.
