Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the microshear bond strength using monobond Etch and prime with lithium disilicate treated with hydrofluoric acid in two concentrations and post surface cleaning treatment with phosphoric acid and ultrasound. Introduction: In recent years, dentistry has used hydrofluoric acid as a gold standard surface treatment and methods such as ultrasonic bath and phosphoric acid are used to remove the by-products of the application of hydrofluoric acid. Materials and methods: The sample size was 108 specimens, which were randomly divided into 6 groups. The database was organized in an Excel table, and taken to the statistical program SPSS v. 27.0. Normality was evaluated with the D'Agostino normality test and subsequently the two-criteria ANOVA test was performed, with a confidence level of 95% and p < 0.05. Results: The group that presented the highest bond strength to microshear was the group with Monobond Etch & Prime without hydrofluoric acid conditioning compared to the other groups. Conclusions: No statistically significant differences were found when comparing the groups studied.
