Características clínico epidemiológicas de los pacientes con enfermedad de Cushing, HNERM, Lima, 2022

Abstract

El síndrome de Cushing es un conjunto de síntomas y signos que ameritan una buena historia clínica y reconocimiento precoz. Ésta a la vez, involucra a la enfermedad de Cushing que se considera una enfermedad infra diagnosticada con una morbilidad y mortalidad incrementada, así mismo requiere el uso de pruebas dinámicas para afinar el diagnóstico y cuyo tratamiento es quirúrgico principalmente, pero en algunas ocasiones médico. El presente proyecto de investigación busca realizar un estudio observacional tipo descriptivo y tiene como objetivo determinar las características clínico epidemiológicas de los pacientes con enfermedad de Cushing del hospital Nacional Edgardo Rebagliati Martins, hospital de referencia en Perú. Para ello se realizará una revisión documental de las historias clínicas de los pacientes que tuvieron el diagnóstico confirmatorio por anatomía patológica de enfermedad de Cushing desde el año 2000 a mayo del 2022 y se recolectaran las principales características clínico epidemiológicas en la ficha anexada. En el análisis estadístico las variables categóricas serán descritas en tablas de frecuencia, las variables numéricas se analizarán mediante medidas de tendencia central y dispersión. En el análisis bivariado, para variables categóricas se usará Chi-cuadrado y variables cuantitativas la t de Student. Se empleará estadística no paramétrica si no se cumple los supuestos correspondientes. Recalcando la importancia del presente proyecto de proporcionar datos sobre nuestra población.
