Abstract

Background: The increasing requirement of patients to obtain restorations of high resistance, quality and aesthetics is a key competence for us, the ceramic restorations are the best known and most used, it is important to understand that adhesion is an essential process for the success. Objective: Determine the effect of the system of universal adhesives with silane on the values of resistance of union to the machined and injected Lithium Disilicate. Materials and Methods: The study was experimental (in vitro), the sample consisted of 20 lithium disilicate discs of 10 mm, IPS e.max CAD (Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein, Switzerland) 10 machined and 10 injected, which were placed in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes. The disks were fitted to the universal testing machine for the demonstration of micro-shear and the indicated values in MPa were noted. A descriptive analysis was carried out by obtaining the averages of binding resistance of each of the groups, then the normality of the data was evaluated using the D'Agostino test, and the statistical difference was measured with Pos teste Tukey. Results: Group A1 obtained the average bond strength values of 08.86 ± 1.85 Mpa. Group A2 the value of 08.39 ± 2.48 MPa. Group B1, the value of 12.34 ± 2.97Mpa. Group B2, the value of 10.17 ± 2.18 Mpa. Conclusions: According to the adhesives evaluated in this study, Ambar Universal APS presented higher results in bond strength values in both machined and injected lithium disilicate.
