Sedir adası ve çevresinin jeomorfolojisi

Abstract

This study investigates the morphologic aspects of Kadrea ( Sedir Island). With this study it is aimed to find out the geologic and morphologic aspects which will reveal potential for tourism in and around the island. The study tried to gather information about geology of the island by investigating the properties of the sand formed in Cleopatra Beach and construction materials used in Ancient Kadrea. In addition, many sea-side morphology samples are detected on the island along with the island morphology caused by tektonic earthquakes in the past. The fact that this island is very small and lack of water supplies affected the development of possible future settlements on the island.
