El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la asociación entre los turnos nocturnos con el síndrome metabólico en los trabajadores de la empresa de transportes PENTA S.R.L - 2019. Por ello se planteó una investigación de tipo transversal analítico. La muestra estuvo constituida por 135 trabajadores de la empresa, obteniéndose datos de las historias clínicas y habiéndose aplicado un cuestionario de tipo cerrado Likert; cuyo resultado se tradujo en una asociación positiva entre el turno nocturno y el síndrome metabólico (OR=5.75 [2.551 – 12.959]; p = 0.000); lo que llevó a la conclusión principal de que los turnos laborales nocturnos constituyen un factor asociado a la presentación de síndrome metabólico en trabajadores de la empresa de transportes PENTA S.R.L – 2019; pudiendose plantear como recomendación principal la adopción de un sistema laboral en lo concerniente a turnos noctunos, que proteja la salud del trabajador.

The main objective of this work was to determine the association between night shifts and metabolic syndrome in workers of the transport company PENTA S.R.L - 2019. For this reason, an analytical cross-sectional investigation was proposed. The sample consisted of 135 workers of the company, obtaining data from the medical records and having applied a Likert closed-type questionnaire; whose result translated into a positive association between the night shift and the metabolic syndrome (OR=5.75 [2.551 – 12.959]; p = 0.000); which led to the main conclusion that night work shifts are a factor associated with the presentation of metabolic syndrome in workers of the transport company PENTA S.R.L - 2019; being able to raise as a main recommendation the adoption of a labor system regarding night shifts, which protects the health of the worker.
