Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar si el trabajo nocturno es un factor de riesgo asociado a aborto espontáneo en trabajadoras gestantes hospitalarias de Chimbote durante el periodo 2016 – 2020. Método: Estudio analítico, retrospectivo, de casos y controles. Se revisaron 412 historias clínicas de trabajadoras gestantes hospitalarias durante el periodo enero 2016 diciembre 2020, de las cuales se excluyeron 112 historias por criterios de exclusión. Resultados: De las 300 historias clínicas seleccionadas (75 casos y 225 controles) se encontró lo siguiente: De los 75 casos; 46 (61,33%) realizaron trabajo nocturno y 29 (38,67%) no realizaron trabajo nocturno. De los 225 controles; 100 (44,44%) realizaron trabajo nocturno y 125 (55,56%) no realizaron trabajo nocturno. En el análisis estadístico se realizó la función chi-cuadrado encontrándose un valor de x2= 6.41, un p < 0,05 significativo y un OR = 1,98. Conclusiones: Existe asociación entre trabajo nocturno y aborto espontáneo en trabajadoras gestantes hospitalarias de Chimbote durante el periodo 2016 – 2020

Objective: Determine the association between night work and spontaneous abortion in pregnant hospital workers of Chimbote during 2016-2020. Methods: An analytical, retrospective, case – control study. 412 medical records of pregnant hospital workers were reviewed during the period January 2016 to December 2020, and 112 were eliminated because of exclusion criteria. Results: Of the medical records selected (75 cases and 225 controls), we found: Of the 75 cases, 46 (61,33%) worked at night and 29 (38,67%) didn´t work at night. Of the 225 controls, 100 (44,44%) worked at night and 125 (55,56%) didn´t work at night. The statistical analysis found x2 = 6.41, a significant value of p < 0.05 and OR = 1,98. Conclusions: There is a significant association between night work and spontaneous abortion in pregnant hospital workers of Chimbote during 2016-2020
