Este proyecto contiene el desarrollo de la investigación realizada en el sector de Aceite de palma vegetal en Santander, para analizar su nivel de competitividad internacional, para lo cual se ha adoptado la teoría de la ventaja competitiva de las naciones de Michael Porter. Consta de tres partes fundamentales, una primera parte conocimiento del sector y su posición a nivel regional, nacional e internacional y el marco teórico del Diamante Competitivo de Porter, el modelo de las cinco fuerzas de la competencia de Porter y la teoría sobre la formulación de estrategias. En la segunda parte una breve presentación de Santander en su contexto internacional y objetivos y metodología del estudio. La tercera parte es el desarrollo y análisis del estudio realizado en el sector de aceite de palma vegetal en Santander, donde se hace la descripción de las empresas de Santander, la descripción del proceso productivo, el análisis teniendo en cuenta el marco teórico utilizado y sus resultados.

This project contains the development of research carried out in the sector of Vegetable palm oil in Santander, to analyze its level of international competitiveness, for which Michael Porter's theory of the competitive advantage of nations has been adopted. It consists of three fundamental parts, a first part, knowledge of the sector and its position at a regional, national and international level and the theoretical framework of Porter's Competitive Diamond, the model of the five forces of competition of Porter and theory on strategy formulation. In the second part a brief presentation of Santander in its international context and objectives and methodology of the study. The third part is the development and analysis of the study carried out in the vegetable palm oil in Santander, where the description of the Santander companies is made, the description of the production process, the analysis taking into account the theoretical framework used and its results.
