Efectos de un programa “Mis lecturas recreativas” para mejorar la comprensión lectora en los estudiantes de segundo grado de primaria de una institución educativa de Lima Metropolitana

Abstract

El presente estudio tiene como finalidad principal determinar el efecto del programa “Mis lecturas recreativas” para mejorar la comprensión lectora en los estudiantes de segundo grado de primaria de una institución educativa de Lima Metropolitana. Como parte de la muestra se consideró a 40 estudiantes (35%de mujeresy65% de varones), con edades que oscilan entre 8 y 9 años (M=8.65, DE=.480). El diseño es cuasi experimental de pretest y postest con grupo experimental y de control. Se aplicó la prueba de Complejidad Lingüística Progresiva(CLP), de nivel dos formas A, para segundo grado de primaria. Los resultados demuestran que el efecto del programa “Mis lecturas recreativas” incrementó el nivel de comprensión de lectura a partir de sus dimensiones: asociar una oración, selección de palabras para completar oraciones, explicar el sentido dela oración; analizar y realizar afirmaciones de un texto simple, siendo sus tamaños de efecto asociados a todas las comparaciones con medianas(r de .30 a .50), y grandes (superior a .50). Por tanto, se concluye que el programa: Mis lecturas recreativas, tuvo efectos significativos en la mejora del nivel de comprensión de lectura en los estudiantes de segundo grado de primaria.
