Indicador de Competitividad Regional

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta un indicador para medir la competitividad de las regiones en el Perú, empleando estadísticas de difusión pública provistas por organismos como el Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática (INEI), la Superintendencia de Banca y Seguros (SBS), la Defensoría del Pueblo (DP), el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC), entre otros. El cálculo sigue la metodología convencional de agregar los diferentes indicadores de manera simple, luego de ser normalizados en la escala del 1 al 10. Se presentan las mediciones para los años 2013 a 2015, las cuales dan como resultado que Lima es la región más competitiva del país, seguida de regiones de la costa como Arequipa, Moquegua, Tacna e Ica, en tanto a la zaga se encuentran las regiones de la selva y de la sierra sur; allí destaca el avance que ha tenido Ayacucho en los últimos años.
