Mineral trioxide aggregate: Literatür derlemesi

Abstract

Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is recently one of the introduced dental materials. First, it was developed as a root-end filling material for periapical surgery and for the sealing barrier between the root canal system and the surrounding tissues. Nowadays, mineral trioxide aggregate has been used also different clinical applications such as root-end fillings, direct pulp caps, perforation repairs in roots or furcations and apexification. In the review, chemical, physical, antimicrobial, biologic properties and clinical applications of MTA are presented.
