Abstract

La publicación da cuenta de una investigación del Programa Nacional Contra la Violencia Familiar y Sexual del MIMP, realizada en la asociación “La Casa de Panchita” y en el “Centro de Capacitación de la Trabajadora del Hogar” en julio del año 2006. Sus resultados evidencian situaciones de maltrato físico psicológico, así como de violencia sexual que afectaron a las entrevistadas. Asimismo, incluye un capitulo con orientación sobre medidas preventivas para evitar y enfrentar el maltrato Principales resultados: En las trabajadoras del hogar, el maltrato es un problema que las afecta otidianamente. En los últimos doce meses, el 54% de las mujeres entrevistadas reconoció haber recibido maltratos psicológicos en la vivienda donde trabajan, y el 11 % refirió, además, ser víctima de violencia física. El pedir las cosas gritando es lo más referido (72%); le sigue los insultos (44.4%) y amenazas con echarlas del trabajo (31.5%). Abusos laborales como amenazarles con no pagarles o descontarles el sueldo (27.8%), infracciones a la ley 27942 como impedirles que estudien (13%). Coerciones y chantajes como impedirles el contacto con sus familiares(22.2%) y amenaza de hacerles daño físico(9.3%).
