Smilax Excelsa L. Ekstraktlar n n Ames/Salmonella/Mikrozom Test Sistemi le Antimutajenik Etkisinin Ara t r lmas

Abstract

Bu çal mada, Smilax excelsa L. yaprak ve meyve ekstraktlar n n antimutajenik aktiviteleri Ames/Salmonella/mikrozom test yöntemi ile incelenmi tir. Smilax excelsa L. yaprak ve meyve ekstraktlar n n 10-100 mg/mL doz aral nda sitotoksik etki göstermedi i belirlenmi tir. Ayr ca, Smilax excelsa L. bitkisinin tüm ekstraktlar n n farkl oranlarda antimutajenik aktiviteye sahip olduklar belirlenmi tir

In this study, leaf and fruit extracts of Smilax excelsa L., were investigated for antimutagenic activity by Ames/Salmonella/microsome test method. Fruit and leaf extracts was not observed the cytotoxic effect in the range of 10-100 mg/mL doses. Antimutagenity analysis were studies with S9() and S9(-) on Salmonella typhimurium TA 98 and TA 100 strains. Maximum antimutagenic activity was observed with leaf extracts at 100 mg/plaque dose on TA98 strain in the absence of S9 as 88%. And also all the extracts of Smilax excelsa L. showed antimutagenic activity with different rates
