The policy implemented by the European community in agriculture aims to balance the relationship between agriculture and the environment. This interrelationship is a critical factor in the sustainable development of agroecological practices that both conserve natural resources and promote economic efficiency. There is a rich palette of applied agroecological practices that directly and indirectly impact the environment, such as organic fertilization, crop rotation, minimal tillage, and agroforestry. The widespread use and implementation of these practices would minimize the negative impacts of agriculture on climate, water resources and biodiversity while ensuring the long-term productivity of the agricultural sector. A comparative analysis of the measures aimed at agroecological activities from the Rural Development Program was prepared. It highlights main points and difference in supported agroecological practices.
