CO2 Capture Methods in Fossil Fuel Power Plants

Abstract

Europe assumed to become the first climate neutral continent but, due to the political situation on the eastern border, the security of the energy supply is threatened and it is possible that the existing coal installations will be used for more than originally expected. The paper exposes the ways in which the carbon dioxide resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels can be separated and thus the greenhouse gas emissions of the power plants can be close to zero.
