Zasebnost in varstvo osebnih podatkov zaposlenih v policiji

Abstract

Protection of personal data is one of the most important areas of protection of privacy. In a time of rapid development of information technologies which enable the collection and processing of all types of personal data, it is of key importance to ensure the implementation of rules which define the processing of personal data from different databases. In the field of personal data protection, the relationship between employees and employers must be reciprocal. At the same time, it must support the application of measures which ensure that the employees have an adequate level of privacy. The Police service information system includes a substantial amount of data. The majority of the system is represented by the personal data of employees. As the Police bear great responsibility regarding the protection of personal data, it was necessary to adopt appropriate policies and technical and security measures to ensure an adequate level of safety regarding any protected information.
