Deslizamiento traslacional - flujo de detritos de Mayunmarca, Perú

Abstract

La descripción de este movimiento corresponde a una síntesis de los trabajos realizado para el Comité Suramericano de Movimientos en Masa por Chang y Alva (1988) y Montero (1999). Localización: El deslizamiento de Mayunmarca se encuentra en la quebrada Ccochaca afluente por la margen derecha del río Mantaro, a 200 km al sureste de Lima. Por vía terrestre se halla en el km 56+000 de la carretera Mejorada – Ayacucho, entre la represa de Tablachaca y Anco. El movimiento ocurrió el 25 de abril de 1974 a la 9:00 p.m. y se extendió desde una altura de 4.000 m.s.n.m hasta los 2.500 m.s.n.m. Descripción del área y características del movimiento: En la zona de Mayunmarca afloran rocas con edades que van desde el Paleozoico inferior hasta el Holoceno. En la base y formando el lecho y riberas del río, existen rocas metamórficas constituidas por esquistos foliados y muy fracturados. En la margen derecha, estas rocas subyacen discordantemente a capas de areniscas rojas, lutitas, conglomerados y lavas andesíticas. El Holoceno consiste de depósitos de ladera con espesores entre 10 a 25 m y depósitos aluviales que yacen como remanentes colgados por encima del cauce (Martines Vargas, 1974).
