Contiene información de cientos de fuentes y la participación de un gran número de expertos nacionales e internacionales de diferentes disciplinas. El informe está dirigido a una audiencia amplia, incluyendo organizaciones internacionales de desarrollo, gobiernos, sociedad civil, profesionales, estudiantes y medios de comunicación. Esta amplia audiencia podrá conocer mejor el estado de la reutilización de aguas en la región, identificar ejemplos exitosos y promover la reutilización segura y productiva de una manera más informada. Los gobiernos y agencias de desarrollo podrán usar la publicación para identificar los retos técnicos, económicos e institucionales en los actuar para favorecer una reutilización segura. Los profesionales del sector privado y público encontrarán un compendio de principios que les ayudarán en el diseño e implementación de proyectos y políticas de reutilización de aguas.
