Teniendo en cuenta que el sector comercial es fundamental dentro de la actividad económica por su función de enlace e intermediación entre la producción y el consumo refleja la marcha y tendencias del sistema económico; por lo tanto es el sector que recibe en primera instancia el impacto de los distintos cambios que se dan en una sociedad de términos de demandas de los consumidores y de respuestas de los sectores agropecuario e industrial para satisfacer las o para generar nuevos deseos dentro de los distintos grupos consumidores. En Colombia el sector tiene una amplia participación en la generación del Producto Interno Bruto y en la generación de empleo por la baja inversión que requiere para la creación de puestos de trabajo; pese a su importancia es relevante poco interés de la Academia por incursionar en investigaciones que permitan identificar su problemática, sus proyecciones y alternativas de cambio, y permitan hacerlo cada vez más eficiente y productivo. El objetivo de este escrito es identificar los aspectos que influyen y por tanto tiene en cuenta el consumidor del Valle de Aburrá para seleccionar el establecimiento donde realiza sus compras, con el fin de suministrar a esto las bases para orientar la prestación de sus servicios.
Bearing in mind that the commercial sector is fundamental within the economic activity due to its function of link and intermediation between production and consumption, it reflects the progress and trends of the economic system; Therefore, it is the sector that receives in the first instance the impact of the different changes that occur in a society in terms of consumer demands and responses from the agricultural and industrial sectors to satisfy or to generate new desires within the different consumer groups. In Colombia, the sector has a broad participation in the generation of the Gross Domestic Product and in the generation of employment due to the low investment required to create jobs; Despite its importance, there is little interest from the Academy to venture into research that allows identifying its problems, its projections and alternatives for change, and allows it to become increasingly efficient and productive. The objective of this writing is to identify the aspects that influence and therefore take into account the consumer of the Aburrá Valley to select the establishment where they make their purchases, in order to provide this with the bases to guide the provision of their services.
