La aparición de síntomas de gota en el pie no es algo infrecuente ya que uno de los primeros puntos donde se localizan los ataques agudos de gota son en la primera articulación metatarsofalángica, el talón o el tobillo. No obstante se debe realizar un diagnóstico diferencial exhaustivo en casos de dudosas ulceraciones y/o apariciones de quistes sobre otras articulaciones más pequeñas. Se presenta un caso de localización atípica de formación de tofos gotosos en el pie, así como su tratamiento mediante extirpación quirúrgica.

One of the most common places where the symptoms of the gout appeared is the foot, mainly in the first MPJ and great toe, heels or in the ankle. Nonetheless a differential diagnosis must be done on those doubtful cases where ulcers and/or cysts over the lesser joints in the foot are found. A clinical report is presented where an atypical location of the tophus is found and surgically removed.
