Philology, born in opposition to obscurantism and dogmatism in the Scriptures, progressively lost this libertarian vocation, and ended up replacing the authority that it had intended to contrast. This article, in the form of a memorandum, provocatively points out the possible future perspectives of a philology able to maintain its original subversive impulse.
