The capacity approach is studied as an alternative to the neoliberal and androcentric model of organizing the world and constructing our own subjectivities. In this sense, the way in which capacity approach can be considered pertinent or not for a genuine inclusive education that permits all people’s human development is analized. To do this, texts written by Martha Nussbaum, Joan Tronto, Eva Feder Kittay, Nel Noddings and William Pinar are put into dialogue. An hermeneutical analysis is done to study the possibility of including divergent experiences and sensitivities. It concludes by encouraging interdependent and direct caring processes historically associated with the feminine in order to be included as creative elements of culture and as central values for the well-being of all people and the environments in which they inhabit.
