Adolescents present an elevated risk for the development of Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI). Given the remarkable connection of NSSI with suicidal behaviour, recent research seeks to explore the relationship of this type of behaviour with the variables Thwarted Belongingness (TB) and Perceived Burdensomeness (PB) within the adolescent population. Among these relationships, Hopelessness (HS) could be positively associated with the previous variables, whose moderating effect would increase its influence on the frequency of NSSI. Objectives: a) to analyse the relationship between NSSI, HS, TB and PB; b) to test the robustness of the structural model constructed.
