El estrés, la ansiedad y miedo son tres conceptos importantes que envuelven al niño al acudir a la consulta dental. Manifestandose cómo conductas evitativas y disruptivas que dificultan el manejo durante los tratamientos en el gabinete. La valoración del grado de ansiedad en las primeras visitas de pacientes pediátricos ayuda de gran manera a determinar las técnicas de manejo que se deben aplicar en cada caso, para conseguir la realización del tratamiento odontológico idóneo a la patología dental presentada por el paciente. El objetivo principal del estudio será evaluar si la visualización de un video explicativo de la primera visita influye en la ansiedad dental.
Stress, anxiety and fear are three important concepts that surround the child when they come to the dental office. Manifesting as avoidant and disruptive behaviors that make management difficult during the treatments in the cabinet. The assessment of the degree of anxiety in the first visits of pediatric patients greatly helps to determine the management techniques that should be applied in each case, to achieve the appropriate dental treatment for the dental pathology presented by the patient. The main objective of the study will be to evaluate whether viewing an explanatory video of the first visit influences dental anxiety.
