Competencia oral, competencia vital: la exposición

Abstract

La competencia oral es la más utilizada por el ser humano para comunicarse, se emplea a diario, pero muy pocos son capaces de conseguir una comunicación eficaz. Una de las causas de ello, es la escasa dedicación del aprendizaje de esta destreza a lo largo de las etapas educativas obligatorias. Concretamente la exposición oral, es un recurso empleado por los docentes para la evaluación del proceso de aprendizaje, pero ¿están preparados los alumnos para demostrar sus conocimientos a través de esta? Un gran número de personas adultas muestran inseguridad y escasos recursos a la hora de realizarla. Es todo esto la causa de la elaboración del presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado, en el que se investiga acerca de la competencia oral, la exposición y su evaluación, así como la relación de esta destreza con la normativa de educación de la Comunidad Valenciana del 5º curso de Educación Primaria, grupo de alumnos al que se dirige la propuesta didáctica. Tras su puesta en práctica se espera una mejoría de las destrezas de los escolares en esta habilidad lingüística y en concreto en la elaboración de discursos orales y en el manejo de sus emociones ante esta situación, además de que sirva como herramienta para otros docentes que se sumen a la iniciativa de fomentar el trabajo de la oralidad para crear alumnos capaces, efectivos y seguros.

La competència oral és la més utilitzada per l'ésser humà per a comunicar-se, l'emprem diàriament, però molt pocs són capaços d'aconseguir una comunicació eficaç. Una de les causes d'això, és l'escassa dedicació de l'aprenentatge d'aquesta destresa al llarg de les etapes educatives obligatòries. Concretament l'exposició oral, és un recurs emprat pels docents per a l'avaluació del procés d'aprenentatge, però estan preparats els alumnes per a demostrar els seus coneixements a través d'aquesta? Un gran nombre de persones adultes mostren inseguretat i escassos recursos a l'hora de realitzar-la. És tot això la causa de l'elaboració del present Treball de Fi de Grau, en el qual s'investiga sobre la competència oral, l'exposició i la seua avaluació, així com la relació d'aquesta destresa amb la normativa d'educació de la Comunitat Valenciana del 5é curs d'Educació Primària, grup d'alumnes al qual es dirigeix la proposta didàctica. Després de la seua posada en pràctica s'espera una millora de les destreses dels escolars en aquesta habilitat lingüística i en concret en l'elaboració de discursos orals i en el maneig de les seues emocions davant aquesta situació, a més de que servisca com a eina per a altres docents que se sumen a la iniciativa de fomentar el treball de l'oralitat per a crear alumnes capaços, efectius i segurs.

Oral competence is the most widely used skill for human beings to communicate, we use it every day, but very few are able to communicate effectively. One of the reasons for this is the lack of dedication to learning this skill throughout the compulsory educational stages. Specifically, oral presentation is a resource used by teachers for the evaluation of the learning process, but are students prepared to demonstrate their knowledge through it? A large number of adults are insecure and under-resourced when it comes to giving an oral presentation. This is the reason for the elaboration of this Final Degree Project, which investigates oral competence, exposition and its evaluation, as well as the relationship of this skill with the education regulations of the Valencian Community in the 5th year of Primary Education, the group of students to whom the didactic proposal is addressed. After its implementation, it is expected that the students' skills in this linguistic ability will improve, specifically in the elaboration of oral speeches and in the management of their emotions in this situation, as well as serving as a tool for other teachers who join the initiative to promote oral work in order to create capable, effective and confident students.
