El hacinamiento de cárceles se puede definir como la acción y la consecuencia de hacinar, abarcar, acumular o acoplar sin ningún modelo de restricciones o parámetros de control, esta definición se utiliza para hacer énfasis a las aglomeraciones de individuos en ambientes reducidos o de espacios que no son suficientes para acoger a todas las personas de una forma convincente y segura, la que direcciona a suponer que los órganos de control no cuentan con los recursos suficientes para solucionar y darle una vida digna a los privados de libertad en los centros penitenciarios en los que se presentan este tipo de problemáticas.
Prison overcrowding can be defined as the action and consequence of overcrowding, encompassing, accumulating or coupling without any model of restrictions or control parameters, this definition is used to emphasize the agglomerations of individuals in reduced environments or spaces that are not enough to welcome all people in a convincing and safe way, which leads to the assumption that the control bodies do not have sufficient resources to solve and give a dignified life to those deprived of liberty in the penitentiary centers in which that these kinds of problems arise.
