El presente artículo de investigación sobre la figura de la Revocatoria del Mandato en Colombia, pretende demostrar que a pesar de que el espíritu del Constituyente Primario, plasmado en el artículo 259 superior, fue el de dotar al pueblo de un instrumento eficaz y efectivo, para que ejerciera el control político sobre los elegidos -Gobernadores y Alcaldes-. A pesar de ello, dicha herramienta ha sido desdibujada y borrosa por el legislador al momento de reglamentarla (Leyes 131, 134 de 1994 y 7 41 /02) acomodándola a sus intereses mezquinos, politiqueros y de grupo y, por los excesivos obstáculos que interpone la Registraduria Nacional al momento de presentarse una solicitud de Revocatoria
