The relationship between God and universe and the issue of whether God contains universe is one of the important problems of philosophy of religion. We see by various philosophers tried to explain the establishment of various philosophical systems how relationship between infinite being with a finite entity when we examine the history ofthought. One ofthese systems is pantheism, which is based on the principle of the identity of being. The same way in the Islamic Sufi tradition doctrine of the wahdat-i wujud, that unity of being founded on the basis is one of the explanations brought the God-universe relationship. These two doctrines is a controversial subject utterance the same doctrine whether the two systems.

Tanrı-âlem ilişkisi, Tanrı'nın âlemi ihtiva edip etmediği meselesi din felsefesinin önemli problemlerinden birisidir. Düşünce tarihini incelediğimizde, sonsuz varlık ile sonlu varlık arasında nasıl bir ilişki olduğu meselesinin birçok filozof tarafından değişik felsefi sistemlerle açıklanmaya çalışıldığını görürüz. Bu sistemlerden biri de varlığın özdeşliği ilkesi üzerine kurulu olan panteizmdir. Aynı şekilde İslam tasavvuf geleneğinde varlığın birliği esası üzerine kurulu olan vahdet-i vücûd doktrini de Allah-âlem ilişkisine getirilen açıklamalardan biridir. Bu iki doktrinin, aynı öğretiyi dile getiren iki sistem olup olmadığı meselesi tartışmalı bir konudur.
