Şerif Mardin’in “Siyasal ve Sosyal bilimler (Makaleler 2)” isimli kitabı, başlığından da anlaşıldığı üzere farklı makalelerden oluşmaktadır. Bu makaleler siyasal ve sosyal bilimler, iktisadi kültür ve bağımsız makaleler olarak üç bölümde toplanmıştır. Kitabın sonunda ise beş tane kitap tanıtımı yer almaktadır.
