Abstract

It is an important problem that women, who make up nearly half of the world's population and have an important contribution to the development of society, do not have the same status as men in many areas. Career barriers faced by women who choose the teaching profession in the field of education are among these problems. The purpose of this study is to examine the articles written on the career barriers faced by female teachers. For this purpose, answers were sought to the following questions: What is the distribution of the reviewed articles by years, title of consultant, and gender? What is the distribution of the reviewed articles according to the ratio of the journals in which they were published? What is the region and province distribution of the reviewed articles? What is the distribution of research designs, samples and data collection tools of the reviewed articles? In accordance with the purpose of the research, 12 articles published in Ulakbim, Dergipark, Google Scholar databases between 2009-2020 were scanned and analyzed by content analysis. According to the results obtained from the research findings, it is seen that the most of the studies carried out in Turkey are 2020, 2017, 2016, 2010 and most of the studies are in the Central Anatolia Region, Black Sea Region, Mediterranean Region; It was made in İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Kayseri, Bursa, Samsun, Adana, Mersin, Trabzon as provinces, the articles were made in the screening model, the quantitative method was generally used, the scale, one of the data collection tools, was used in the majority of the articles, the sample group was generally made up of female teachers and male teachers. seen. In addition, the most used keywords in 12 articles were career, female teachers, and career barriers.

Dünyadaki nüfusun yaklaşık yarısını oluşturan, toplumun gelişmesinde önemli bir katkısı olan kadınların birçok alanda erkeklerle aynı statüde yer alamamıştır. Özellikle de eğitim alanında öğretmenlik mesleğini seçen kadınların karşılaştıkları kariyer engelleri bunlardan biridir. Bu çalışmanın amacı kadın öğretmenleri karşılaştığı kariyer engelleri üzerine yazılmış makaleleri belirlemektir. Bu amaçla şu sorulara da yanıt aranacaktır: İncelenen makalelerin yılına, danışman unvanına, cinsiyetine göre dağılımı nedir? İncelenen makalelerin yayınlandıkları dergilerin oranınagöre dağılımı nasıldır? İncelenen makalelerin yapıldığı bölge, il, dağılımı nedir? İncelenen makalelerin araştırma deseni, örneklemi, veri toplama araçlarının dağılımı nasıldır? Bu araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesiyle yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın amacına uygun olarak 2009-2020 yılları arasında Ulakbilm, Dergipark, Google Scholor veri tabanlrında yayınlanmış olan 12 makale taranmış ve içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir.. Araştırma bulgularından elde edilen sonuçlara göre Türkiye de gerçekleştirilen araştırmaların en çok 2020, 2017, 2016, 2010 yılları olduğu çalışmalarının çoğunun İç Anadolu Bölgesi, Karadeniz Bölgesi ve Akdeniz Bölgesi; il olarak İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Kayseri, Bursa, Samsun, Adana, Mersin, Trabzon da yapıldığı, makalelerin tarama modelinde gerçekleştiği, genellikle nicel yöntemin kullanıldığı makalelerin çoğunluğunda veri toplama araçlarından ölçek, kullanıldığı, örneklem grubunun genellikle kadın öğretmen ve erkek öğretmenle gerçekleştiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca 12 makalede en çok kullanılan anahtar kelimeler kariyer, kadın öğretmenler,kariyer engelleri olduğu görülmüştür.
