Kadın yöneticilerin kariyer engelleri hakkında bir doküman analizi

Abstract

Kadınlar 20. yüzyıldan itibaren çalışma hayatında daha fazla görünmelerine rağmen, karşılaştıkları zorluklar da bu oranda artmıştır. Çalışan kadınlar özellikle nitelik ve kariyer gerektiren mesleklerde çeşitli zorluklara karşı varlıklarını devam ettirebilmek için mücadele etmişler ve erkek çalışanlara oranla daha fazla güç harcamak zorunda kalmışlardır. Bu zorluklar çalışan kadınların yönetim kadrolarında yeterince yer alamamaları sonucunu doğurmuştur. Çalışma hayatında kadın yöneticiler toplumsal, bireysel ve örgütsel birçok kariyer engeliyle baş etmek zorunda kalmaktadır. Bu çalışmada cam tavan olarak adlandırılan engellerin araştırmalar içerisindeki boyutlarını belirlemek ve farklı değişkenler ile ilgili dağılımlarını ortaya koymak amacıyla, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yoluyla 2010-2019 yılları arasında YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi tabanında yayınlanmış olan 18 tez taranmış betimsel analiz ile çözümlenmiştir. Betimsel analiz sırasında araştırmaların yılları, danışman unvanları, yöntemi, örneklemi, veri toplama araçları, çalışılan alanlar; kadın yöneticilerin kariyer engelleri yaşa, medeni, eğitim ve deneyim durumuna göre incelenmiştir.

Since the 20th century, women have been more visible in working life and the difficulties they face have increased at this rate. Working women have struggled to maintain their responsibilities against various challenges, especially in qualification and career professions, and they have to spend more power than male workers. In working life, female managers have to cope with many career barriers, social, individual and organizational. On this research, 18 theses at the base of the YOK National Thesis Center between 2010-2019 were analyzed with a scanned descriptive analysis. The aim is revealing the researches of the glass ceiling syndrome and their distributions related to different variables. During the descriptive analysis, the years of the research, the titles of the consultant, the method, the sample, the data collection tools, the fields worked; Career barriers of female managers were analyzed according to age, marital status, education and experience.
