The main purpose of this study is to compare the "Wisdom" levels of the students who are preparing for the high school exam at the 8th grade of secondary school and the students who are preparing for the university exam at the 12th grade of high school. The participants of the study were selected as 198 students in total, 97 randomly selected 8th grade students and 101 randomly selected 12th grade students studying at the secondary school level in Istanbul Province Başakşehir District according to the convenience sampling method. The data were obtained from a total of four schools, both public and private, at both secondary and high school levels. When these schools are considered, they are schools with students at normal success level. Apart from the demographic information form, the Three Dimensional Wisdom scale was used in the study. In the study, t-test was used to determine the significance of the difference between the means of two variables. As a result of the findings, it was concluded that the wisdom levels of the 8th and 12th grade students were at "medium" level, and the wisdom level of the 12th grade students was found to be higher than the 8th grade students. However, wisdom differs according to class level, and it does not differ with gender, income status of the family, income level of the mother and father. No significant relationship was found between the academic achievements of the students.

Bu çalışmanın ana amacı ortaokul 8. sınıf düzeyinde lise sınavına hazırlanan ve lise 12. sınıf düzeyinde üniversite sınavına hazırlanan öğrencilerin "Bilgelik" düzeylerinin karşılaştırılması olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın katılımcıları İstanbul İli Başakşehir İlçesi'nde kolayda örnekleme metoduna göre ortaokul düzeyinde eğitim gören 8. sınıflardan oluşan rastgele seçilmiş 97 öğrenci ve lise düzeyinde eğitim gören 12. sınıflardan oluşan rastgele seçilmiş 101 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 198 öğrenci olarak seçilmiştir. Veriler hem ortaokul hem de lise düzeyinde devlet ve özel okul olmak üzere toplam dört okuldan alınmıştır. Bu okullara dikkat edildiğinde normal başarı düzeyinde öğrencilerin olduğu okullardır.Araştırmada demografik bilgi formunun dışında Üç Boyutlu Bilgelik ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada iki değişken ortalamaları arasındaki farkın anlamlılığı için t testi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular neticesinde 8. ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerinin bilgelik düzeylerinin "orta" seviyede olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmış, 12. Sınıf öğrencilerinin bilgelik düzeyi ise 8. Sınıf öğrencilerine göre daha yüksek olarak saptanmıştır. Bununla birlikte bilgelik sınıf düzeyine göre farklılaşmakta olup, cinsiyet, ailenin gelir durumu, anne ve babanın gelir düzeyi ile farklılaşmamaktadır. Öğrencilerin akademik başarıları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir.
