Tanacetum alyssifolium Bitkisinden İzole Edilen Picein Bileşiğinin Antioksidan Aktivite Çalışmaları

Abstract

Sekonder metabolitler bitkilerde bulunan fenolik bileşiklerdir. Yapısal farklılıklarından dolayı bitkilerde binlerce farklı fenolik bileşik bulunmaktadır. Fenolik bileşikler doğal antioksidan madde özelliği sergilemelerinin yanı sıra pek çok gıdanın tat ve aromasına katkıda bulunmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Erzincan (İliç) ilinden toplanan Tanacetum alyssifolium bitkisinin toprak üstü kısmının n-butanol ekstresinden izole edilen picein sekonder metabolitinin antioksidan aktivitesi belirlemektir. Antioksidan aktivite testleri DPPH ve ABTS.+ radikallerini giderme ve metal iyonlarını şelatlama kapasiteleri üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. DPPH testlerinde picein bileşiğinin standart olarak kullanılan trolox (IC50: 31.68 µg/mL) ve BHA (IC50: 34.19 µg/mL)’ ya göre DPPH serbest radikallerini gidermediği gözlenmiştir. DPPH testlerinin aksine ABTS.+ testlerinde aynı bileşiğin düşük IC50 (39.1 µg/mL) değeriyle trolox (IC50: 9.7 µg/mL) ve BHA (IC50: 10.1µg/mL)’ ya yakın antioksidan aktivite sergilemiştir. Metal şelatlama testlerinde ise picein bileşiği (IC50: 242.3 µg/mL) aktivite sergilerken standart olarak kullanılan EDTA (IC50: 10.35 µg/mL) ya göre orta derecede aktivite göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak Tanacetum alyssifolium bitkisinden izole edilen picein bileşiğinin antioksidan aktiviteleri üç farklı metotla değerlendirilmiştir. En yüksek aktiviteyi ABTS.+ radikaline karşı gösterdiği bulunmuştur.
