ÖZET: Anlamı anlamına çeviriyi biz kastın çevirisi olarak anlamaktayız. Kelime kelime çeviriyi ise kelimelerin temel anlamlarının çevirisi olarak tanımlamak isteriz. Bu iki çeviriyi birbirinden ayıran tek fark şudur: Anlamı anlamına çeviride asıl metnin üslubu görünmez olur; kelime kelime çeviride ise asıl metnin üslubu büyük ölçüde korunur. Kelime kelime çevirilerde aslın ne dediğini, nasıl dediğini ve neyi kast ettiğini görmek mümkündür. Özgür anlam çevirisinde ise asıl metinin yalnızca kastı anlaşılır. Bu makalede kelime kelime çevirinin asıl metnin üslubunu ne dereceye kadar koruduğu tartışılacaktır. Anahtar sözcükler: Anlamı anlamına çeviri, kelime kelime çeviri, kastın çevirisi, üslup. ABSTRACT: We claim that sense-for-sense translaiton is the translation of purpose. As for the word-for-word translation we would like to define it as a translaiton of the basic meaning of the words. The only difference that distinguishes these two translation style is that the style of the actual text becomes invisible in the sense-for-sense translation. As for word-for-word translation the style of the original text is largely preserved in it. It is possible to see in the word-for-word translation that what does the text say, what does the texst mean an how does the text say it. As for the the sense-for-sense translation it only gives us the intention of the actual text. In this article it will be discussed that to what extent word-forword translation had preserved the original text’s style.
