Abstract

In the current context, marked by the advancement of information and communication technologies and scientific progress, teachers face new social and professional challenges, both in person and online. This has led to rapid adaptations in teaching processes, especially with regard to collaborative peer learning. Within this framework, a study was conducted to promote community work among teachers in a social network in Lambayeque through educational activities using social media such as Facebook. The research, descriptive-propositional and with a non-experimental design, employed a Likert-scale survey addressed to 13 teachers selected through non-probability convenience sampling. The results indicated that 23% of the participants were at an average level of performance, revealing a problem in teacher collaboration. In conclusion, we suggest implementing a teacher training program that proposes using Facebook as a potential tool for strengthening pedagogy and improving collaborative work.
