Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the value drivers for food processing companies listed on the Lima Stock Exchange during the 2021-2022 period. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach with an explanatory scope and a non-experimental design, based on panel data. A sample of four companies from the food processing sector was selected using documentary analysis. The research results highlight that EBITDA maintained a positive overall average in both 2021 (S/292,288) and 2022 (S/297,798), although a slight decrease in the EBITDA margin was observed. Net operating working capital (NWC) shows that Alicorp S.A.A. is facing difficulties, presenting a negative NWC in both 2021 (S/-1,275,811) and 2022 (S/-1,874,743). On the other hand, working capital productivity (WCP) has improved on average for the companies studied; however, the growth leverage (GPL) decreased from 0.03 in 2021 to 0.01 in 2022, indicating less efficient use of growthgenerating assets. Finally, the economic value added (EVA) analysis shows that companies face significant challenges in creating value.
