Abstract

El objetivo principal de este estudio fue examinar la posibilidad de establecer una planta de procesamiento de residuos reciclables en el distrito de Motupe, con el propósito de impulsar el crecimiento económico en la zona. Para lograr esto, se realizó un análisis exhaustivo que abarcó la viabilidad comercial, técnica e ingenieril de la planta, junto con un examen financiero detallado para evaluar la factibilidad del proyecto. La metodología de investigación adoptada se basó en enfoque cuantitativo no experimental, utilizando un diseño analítico y descriptivo. Los resultados de este estudio revelaron que aproximadamente el 31,90% de los residuos sólidos generados en el distrito de Motupe son aptos para ser reciclados. Estos residuos aprovechables suman un total de 5,41 toneladas por día, con un desglose del 10,60% en papel, 5,90% en plástico PET, 4,70% en vidrio, 3,90% en chatarra y 2,77% en tapitas. Basándose en el análisis técnico, se determinó que la planta de tratamiento de residuos reciclables constará de cinco líneas de procesamiento, operando de manera continua durante todo el año. Además, se estima que alcanzará una eficiencia en la utilización de materia prima del 98%, con un nivel de utilización basado en su capacidad diseñada de aproximadamente 78,85%. La instalación de la planta requerirá una superficie total de alrededor de 699,33 metros cuadrados. Por último, se llevó a cabo un análisis financiero exhaustivo, el cual arrojó indicadores positivos y favorables que respaldan la viabilidad del proyecto. Estos indicadores incluyen un Valor Actual Neto (VAN) de 1 222 969,61 soles, una Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR) del 73,4% y un Índice de Beneficio-Costo (índice B/C) de 1,32. En conjunto, estos resultados sugieren que la implementación de la planta de tratamiento de residuos reciclables en el distrito de Motupe es económicamente sólida y factible.

The main objective of this study was to examine the possibility of establishing a recyclable waste processing plant in the Motupe district, with the purpose of promoting economic growth in the area. To achieve this, a comprehensive analysis was carried out covering the commercial, technical and engineering viability of the plant, together with a detailed financial examination to assess the feasibility of the project. The research methodology adopted was based on a nonexperimental quantitative approach, using an analytical and descriptive design. The results of this study revealed that approximately 31,90% of the solid waste generated in the Motupe district is suitable for recycling. This usable waste adds up to a total of 5,41 tons per day, with a breakdown of 10,60% in paper, 5,90% in PET plastic, 4,70% in glass, 3.90% in scrap and 2,77 % in caps. Based on the technical analysis, it was determined that the recyclable waste treatment plant will consist of five processing lines, operating continuously throughout the year. In addition, it is estimated that it will reach a raw material utilization efficiency of 98%, with a utilization level based on its designed capacity of approximately 78,85%. The installation of the plant will require a total area of about 699,33 square meters. Finally, an exhaustive financial analysis was carried out, which yielded positive and favorable indicators that support the viability of the project. These indicators include a Net Present Value (NPV) of 1 222 969,61 soles, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 73,4% and a Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C ratio) of 1,32. Taken together, these results suggest that the implementation of the recyclable waste treatment plant in the Motupe district is economically sound and feasible.
