Abstract

The present research work characterized the sea pebbles to separate them by colors since they have different minerals, re performed tests to see how resistant the aggregate is and together with the concrete to see its resistance to traction, bending, compression for its use in rigid pavements. A treatment was made to the salts of the boulder to diminish them and this aggregate complies with the E0.60 norm, where the treatment consisted of washing with fresh water and drying for 24 hours. The red colored pebble is more resistant to tests such as abrasion, traction, flexion and compression having as a base the concrete made with the mixed pebble which is my standard concrete, the concrete made with the light colored pebble had a lower resistance this is due to the fact that the pebble according to Mohs hardness is 6 being this a lower hardness.
