Abstract

in SUMMARY The main subject of this study is the relation between nation-state and citizenship. The main purpose behind this study is to analyze the co-relation between nation-state and citizenship which is an source for he discussion in the modern world in the view of sociological perspective. The present research a theoretical study, includes main sections. The first chapter deals with citizenship over all; nation-state is in the second chapter, the relation between nation-state and citizenship is in the third chapter. Moreover argumentation on the relation between nation-state and citizenship is put forward. In the conclusion we got information that citizenship has been an important aspect of the modern society. Citizenship a significant and universal institution in modern world with its relation to political economic and social structures and system. While a general terms, it can ce defined as membership to a community, it is basically considered as a notion within the context of the nation-state.

11 ÖZET Bu araştırmanın temel konusu ulus-devlet yurttaşlık ilişkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırmada temel amacımız modern dünyada çeşitli tartışmalara kaynaklık eden ulus-devlet ile yurttaşlığın karşılıklı ilişkilerini sosyolojik yönden incelemektir. Çalışmamız öncelikle kuramsal bir çalışma olup dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde tüm boyutlarıyla yurttaşlık, ikinci bölümde ulus-devlet, üçüncü bölümde ise yurttaşlık ve ulus devlet ilişkisi ele alınmıştır. Son bölümde ise yurttaşlık ve ulus-devlet ilişkisine dair saptamalarda bulunmaya ve ulaşılan sonuçlan aktarmaya çalıştık. Çalışmamızın sonucunda yurttaşlığın modern toplumun önemli bir görüntüsü olduğu bilgisine ulaştık. Yurttaşlık modern dünyada hukuki, politik, ekonomik sosyal yapı ve sistemlerle ilişkili olma noktasında önemli, anlamlı ve evrensel bir gelenektir.
