Gök Masjid was built in the 15th century in the city of Tabriz, which is located within the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran today, during the reign of the Kara-Koyunlu Cihan Shah. however, the masjid with the tomb space added to the south has survived. As a result of the repair and restoration works that started in the 20th century, it took its present form. Gök Masjid has been partially discussed by researchers, and different opinions have been put forward about the source of its plan and architecture. The aim of this study is to understand and define the place of Gök Masjid in Islamic architecture. For this purpose, first of all, a literature review about the masjid was made, the building was examined on site, photographs were taken and measurements were taken. Gök Masjid has a rectangular plan and its plan is symmetrical. Adjacent to the masjid in the north, there is a mausoleum in the south. There is a square, domed space surrounded by gallery units from three directions in the masjid. The connection with the gallery units is provided by the arches placed between the feet. There are wide niches in the gallery units. The connection with the tomb space in the south is provided through rectangular openings in the south of the central domed space. The dome of the masjid is larger and more pointed than the dome of the mausoleum. In order to reveal the place of the majcid in Islamic Architecture, in the context of the architectural construction tradition in Tabriz, Akkoyunlu and Ilkhanid architecture, Iranian architecture, Timur era religious architecture, Azerbaijan region religious architecture construction tradition, 15th century religious architectural structures of Anatolia and Sultan Hasan in Cairo. The madrasa was examined and compared with the Gök masjid. As a result of the comparisons, the Gök masjid was evaluated separately in terms of plan, architecture and decoration. When we briefly evaluate the Gök masjid in its cultural geography and within the Anatolian structures, the most descriptive definition we can make about the masjid is as follows. Gök Mescit was built in the second half of the 15th century and has the basic features of its own cultural geography. Gök Mescit took its origin from its own construction and cultural environment and benefited from the architectural accumulations and styles of this geography.
