Abstract

In this article, we have discussed the outcomes of a field survey carried out both in Adana and Kahramanmaraş for 843 people through face to face interview. Exclusion has been searched in terms of spatial, political, cultural and socioeconomic aspects and its change according to ethnicity and religious order has been assessed. Perceived exclusion is not a minor issue and affected by discrimination rather than poverty has come out as the main findings of the survey. This conduct has been nurtured by presence of hierarchy among ethnic and religious denominations that might be dependent or independent from intentions of actors or institutions. However this finding is more related with state. Besides, the most excluded segment is Kurdish Alevis.
