Kültürel küreselleşme ve televizyon

Abstract

After the 1980s globalization has become widespread and is often used as a concept. Developments in communication technology, mass media, especially television has been in the central position in the widespread globalization. It has become easier for globalization to take advantage of large masses thanks to advanced satellite technology and television broadcasting. The effects of globalization, economic, political and cultural dimension of the world, which is almost universal.The effects on Turkish culture of globalizing American culture through television broadcasts have been discussed in this study. Television broadcasting is based on capitalism and imperialism. For this reason, it was concluded that television programs destroyed the national elements, leading to Americanization in thought, behavior and attitudes.The infrastructural and superstructure domination of America, with monopolized in communication technology, has led to cultural degeneration in Turkey. In addition, as the American mentality is tried to be placed in the through media extensions that are also included in domestic productions, with the transition to the concept of private publishing, has been prepared content close to the American point of view ve away from the Turkish culture according to the profit and audience ratio. These contents that has caused us care for an American, to consume these cultural products for show, to change our perception of privacy, to threaten our moral boundaries, to move away from local culture, alienation, deterioration on national and family basis. The structure of the media, which does not coincide with our local value, corrupts Turkish culture and as a result, the internalization of American culture has become inevitable.Key Words: Globalization, Culture, Television, Americanization

1980'lerden sonra küreselleşme oldukça yaygınlaşmış ve kavram olarak da sıklıkla kullanılır olmuştur. Küreselleşmenin yaygınlaşmasında; iletişim teknolojisindeki gelişmeler, kitle iletişim araçları, özellikle de televizyon merkezî konumda yer almıştır. Gelişmiş uydu teknolojileri ile gerçekleşen televizyon yayıncılığı sayesinde, küreselleşmenin geniş kitleleri etkisi altına alması kolaylaşmıştır. Küreselleşmenin etkileri; ekonomik, siyasal ve kültürel boyut kazanarak hemen hemen tüm dünya ülkelerini kapsamıştır.Bu çalışmada küreselleşen Amerikan kültürünün, televizyon yayınları aracılığıyla Türk kültürü üzerindeki etkilerinden bahsedilmiştir. Televizyon yayıncılığı kapitalizm ve emperyalizm temelinde gerçekleşmiştir. Bu sebeple televizyon programlarının millî unsurları yok eden, düşünce, davranış ve tutumlarda Amerikanlaşmaya yol açan bir öğe olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.İletişim teknolojisinde tekelleşme ile Amerika'nın altyapısal ve üstyapısal tahakkümü, Türkiye'de kültürel yozlaşmaya yol açmıştır. Ayrıca yerli yapımlarda da şirketleşen medya uzantıları aracılığıyla Amerikan zihniyeti yerleştirilmeye çalışıldığı gibi; özel yayıncılık anlayışına geçişle birlikte kâr ve izlenme oranına göre Türk kültüründen uzak, Amerikan bakış açısına yakın içerikler hazırlanmıştır. Bu içerikler; Amerikalı olana özenmeye, savurganlık derecesinde bu kültür ürünlerini gösteriş için tüketmeye, mahremiyet algımızı değiştirmeye, ahlâkî sınırlarımızı tehdit etmeye, yerel kültürden uzaklaşmaya, yabancılaşmaya, ulusal dilde ve aile yapımızda bozulmaya neden olmuştur. Medyanın yerel değerlerimizle örtüşmeyen yapısı, Türk kültürünü yozlaştırmış ve bunun sonucunda Amerikan kültürü içselleştirilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Küreselleşme, Kültür, Televizyon, Amerikanlaşma
