El impacto del China-Europe Railway Express en el comercio bilateral entre China y España

Abstract

Este estudio analiza el impacto del China-Europe Railway Express (CERE) en el comercio bilateral entre China y España, centrándose en su contribución al crecimiento del comercio y a la transformación de su estructura. Se emplean dos métodos empíricos: un diseño de regresión discontinua en el tiempo (Time-RDD) y un modelo de efectos fijos bidireccionales (Two-Way Fixed Effects), con el objetivo de examinar el efecto del CERE sobre el volumen total y la estructura del comercio, en particular sobre la proporción de exportaciones de productos de alta tecnología. A partir de datos comprendidos entre 2007 y 2023, los resultados empíricos muestran que el CERE ha promovido significativamente tanto el crecimiento como la mejora cualitativa de las exportaciones chinas hacia España. Finalmente, se proponen recomendaciones de política para reforzar la conectividad logística y la cooperación bilateral.
