Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional en Centroamérica

Abstract

Esta nota técnica analiza los indicadores más importantes en cada pilar de la SAN con el propósito de determinar:  ¿Cuáles son los principales avances y retrocesos de Centroamérica en el cumplimiento de la aspiración de lograr la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional para todos sus habitantes?  ¿Cuáles son los factores de vulnerabilidad y riesgo más importantes que podrían generar inseguridad alimentaria y nutricional en el Istmo?  ¿Cuáles son las prioridades de las políticas públicas y estrategias que han sido implementados en los países y a nivel regional para mejorar la situación de SAN? En la medida en que la disponibilidad de información lo permita, el análisis abarcará el periodo 2003-2013, con énfasis en los últimos años (2009-2013) para tener un panorama general sobre la situación actual de la SAN en la región durante la última década.
