Interacciones Sociales Dentro del Aula: Una red educativa

Abstract

Las interacciones relacionadas al aprendizaje tienen una incidencia en el rendimiento de los alumnos (Grunspan et al., 2014). En una relación social siempre existe algún tipo de intercambio (Emerson, 1976). A mayor cantidad de interacciones en una red mayor cantidad de información que se puede difundir. Sin embargo, es en las relaciones mutuas que se espera que el intercambio de información sea en dos direcciones a la vez que se comparten contactos en la interacción, en contraposición de relaciones con solo una dirección (Yamagishi y Cook, 1990). Por ejemplo, relaciones de aprendizaje que son unidireccionales se dan en aulas donde el docente explica y todos o algunos escuchan. Por otro lado, relaciones mutuas se dan en aulas donde el docente incentiva trabajos grupales y/o cooperativos. El análisis de redes educativas ha demostrado que a través del tiempo se tienden a crear redes más fuertes alrededor de los mejores alumnos. Creando así un mayor intercambio en la red para bienestar de los más rezagados (Grunspan et al., 2014). Por ende, promover aulas unidireccionales perdería el potencial intercambio entre todos los alumnos, o en general se perdería los beneficios del intercambio (Molm en Thye y Skvotretz, 2003).
