Institucionalidad pública en Centroamérica

Abstract

Este estudio se concibe como una herramienta que permite dar seguimiento a los principales avances de la región en materia de democracia y desarrollo humano sostenible, desde la perspectiva de la institucionalidad democrática. Por lo tanto, se busca dar respuesta a una serie de interrogantes relativas a la formación, desarrollo, tipología y funciones que caracterizan a cada institución en la región, con el propósito de presentar una radiografía sobre la situación de las entidades públicas en Centroamérica. De esta forma, bajo la pregunta ¿Constituye la institucionalidad pública un factor que fortalece la estabilidad democrática en los países de la región? se desarrollo este documento, con el propósito de estudiar y analizar las principales variables cualitativas y cuantitativas que caracterizan los procesos de creación de instituciones públicas, con el objetivo de entender el proceso de formación y los motivos que justificaron su creación. Desde este enfoque se pretende analizar el contexto actual de la región y el rol de las entidades públicas en el proceso de democratización centroamericano.
