Recurso hídrico y saneamiento

Abstract

Esta ponencia brinda información del recurso hídrico para el 2011 desde una perspectiva de vulnerabilidad y sostenibilidad. Además se muestra la distribución del uso del agua en el país y la situación en torno abastecimiento público y el tratamiento de los residuos líquidos y las implicaciones ambientales debido los rezagos en la inversión. Se hace énfasis en la necesidad de estudiar el recurso hídrico y monitorear su calidad, así como en la implementación de mecanismos de protección como herramienta básica para la gestión sostenible del agua en Costa Rica.
