Abstract

El sector cultural ofrece una amalgama de ofertas que parece inagotable y que está en constante renovación cada vez más con el vertiginoso avance de la tecnología y el incremento de la competencia en la industria cultural. Con la creciente modificación de las políticas culturales, que cada vez hacen más énfasis en temas como la democratización y la inclusión de públicos más diversos, las instituciones se han visto en la obligación de incluir poco a poco, programas alternativos y más flexibles que busquen tener un alcance más igualitario sin discriminación de raza, edad, género o nivel socioeconómico en sus programas y actividades. La misión no ha sido fácil, en especial si se tiene en cuenta que estos espacios han sido históricamente construidos y concebidos como exclusivos de los sectores más ubicados en la una escala socio económica y con acumulación de capitales más altos (Bourdieu, 1979), pero cada vez son más las iniciativas que permiten el acceso a estos públicos que de una y otra manera han estado relegados a la periferia.
